Production Associate

Job Description
Main Responsibilities: 
	Production Associate position is a production position in a high volume manufacturing plant  
	Main responsibilities are to operator palletizers, perform rework activities, plant housekeeping functions and fill in as a relieve person for breaks. 
	We manufacture 12 ounce aluminum cans for the beverage industry  
	Ball has a culture/environment of employee empowerment and continuous improvement in a team environment where you are expected to act like owners  
	Fast paced working environment, keeping equipment/machines up and running, performing quality checks, meticulous housekeeping requirements   
	Compliance to safe work practices 

Work Hours: 
     We are a continuous operation and you will be required to work twelve hour shifts, four
consecutive days, followed by four days off, rotating day and night shift cycles.

Describe the Ideal Candidate for this Role: 
	Mechanically inclined individual. At least 1 year of applicable experience. Team oriented.

Job Skills
    Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instructions
	Ability to learn to identify product defects.
	Required to work assigned schedule or 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, Monday through Sunday. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed.
	Ability to use hand and power tools.
	Ability to read, write and comprehend written material.
	Ability to operate fork truck and aerial lift, if required.
	Possesses an interest in and an aptitude for mechanics.
	Must have strong interpersonal skills.
	Must be able to organize, plan, and prioritize.
	Ability to meet deadlines and to concentrate and pay attention to detail.
	Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.
	Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
	Must have 3 years previous manufacturing experience and mechanical job related experience
	Working knowledge of machine mechanics and troubleshooting skills
